Come to Ammersoyen Castle this school vacation and design and make your own coat of arms!
The children get a short tour through the castle along examples of family coats of arms in old paintings. They get an explanation of what a coat of arms is and the symbolism behind it.
After this, the children will design their own coat of arms and make it on a real wooden shield (no paint will be used). What colors do you choose and what symbols go well with your family name? Make it completely your own work of art! Of course you take your coat of arms home with you afterwards.
