Capella Sine Nomine
Capella Sine Nomine (meaning "choir without a name") is an ambitious project choir led by conductor André Vis since its founding in 2013. Their goal is to perform choral music from different style periods at a high level. Sometimes they sing with the accompaniment of instrumentalists, but mostly a cappella. The programs are always challenging and surprising, both for the singers and the listener. Eleven years ago, Capella Sine Nomine was founded. With a small group of singers, they began with Tòmas Luis de Victoria's Requiem. That small "choir without a name" has now grown into a well-known ensemble that has made a good name for itself in the choral world. The choir is conducted by André Vis, also conductor of the Christelijke Oratoriumvereniging Ridderkerk and the Oratoriumkoor Alphen aan den Rijn. This afternoon the choir will be accompanied by organist Bert den Hertog. Among other things, he is chief organist of the Oude Kerk in Scheveningen. He regularly performs as choir accompanist in demanding repertoire for choir and organ.
