Gerrie Smits is a sympathetic and frank Brabander in heart and vocal chords. One moment you can sit back and relax, only to find yourself on the edge of your seat a moment later. On the comedy circuit, he is praised and applauded. You may have seen him in Comedy Tunes or at The Cabaret Club.

In his new show, he will talk about "Sweet Cake. What have we always swallowed like sweet cake? Should we just blindly believe everything we are taught and told? Gerrie goes in search of the answer and does so with a lot of humor and a little confrontational pain. He himself has type 1 diabetes so his relationship with sweet cake is double, to say the least. Or does that not only apply to people with diabetes? Because in Gerrie's eyes, we are all a bit diabetic. Some just swallow a little more than others.
