Stop by the Shards Lab and see the ancient finds from the castle moat. Watch the work of the archaeology volunteers as they examine the thousands of shards. Who knows, you may even get to puzzle along yourself!
A treasure trove of shards
In the Schervenlab you can literally get in touch with six centuries of castle life through one of the largest collections of moat finds ever made in a castle in the Netherlands.
Opening hours
The Schervenlab can always be visited during the castle's opening hours. The volunteers are present every Wednesday and Sunday between 11-14 hours. During school vacations the volunteers are present extra often.
Entrance: visiting the Shards Lab is free with an entrance ticket to the castle.
