Book & Theater Tasting / presentation: Wim Daniels

For the fourth time, in cooperation with the Waalwijk Library, we are organizing the Book & Theater Tasting!

During this Tasting, you'll get lighthearted previews of books that will be featured in stage adaptations on stages at De Leest this season. There will be short book presentations, trailers will be shown, and interesting conversations with book experts and playwrights. The evening is traditionally presented by linguist, comedian and writer Wim Daniëls.

The present guests are: actress Fockeline Ouwerkerk and director Benno Hoogveld of the solo performance 't Hooge Nest, Anneloes Timmerije, author of the book De Mannen van Maria, which will be performed by actress Anna Drijver. Actor Leendert de Ridder, who plays the lead role of Anton Steenwijk in the play De Aanslag and actress Shelly Bos who plays the role of Roxane in the play Cyrano. In addition, Leonoor van Dam, collector of the Library Midden - Brabant will be a guest and Waalwijk City Poet Romy van Dongen will take poetic minutes of the evening.
In addition to talks and trailers of performances, there will be live music.

Heel Nederland Leest - Book 'Joe Speedboot' gift
In the month of November Heel Nederland Leest reads one book: Joe Speedboat by author Tommy Wieringa. You will receive this book as a gift from the library in November. Visitors of the Book & Theater Tasting will receive this book as a gift at De Leest on November 26.
