If two people are genetically identical and look like two drops of water until puberty, what about their inner world?
After 17 years without contact, Stella visits Tara to offer her help. Tara is seriously ill and Stella, as a twin sister, is the only one who can help her. But there is a lot of old hurt that shimmers beneath the surface; emotions that have waited all these years for this reunion. Tara doesn't want to fall into old role patterns. Moreover, she has hidden something from Stella that she will probably find hard to forgive her for. And what does Stella really want to accomplish with her sacrifice? Is she coming back to give or to get?

The identical twins mirror each other's true desire and expose subcutaneous motives in a blood-curdling dialogue that puts you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end.
Blood Sister is a sharp, humorous and musical performance. What if a two-man collective grows into two completely opposite individuals who can drink each other's blood? In her last performance as artistic director, director Madeleine Matzer delves into her fascination with the different versions we have in us as human beings. The ultimate example being identical twins with the same DNA but a completely different identity.
In Bloedzus, written by Maaike Bergstra, Wendell Jaspers and Lotte Dunselman play together for the first time in their careers. In addition, Bloedzus is one of the last performances Madeleine Matzer will make for MATZER before she retires.
