Breda Male Voice Choir
The Koninklijke Zangvereniging Breda's Mannenkoor has traditionally been a self-confident, classical, independent male choir that seeks to distinguish itself by level and repertoire. One glance from the conductor, an intro from the orchestra and off it goes! A performance of this choir leaves no one unmoved. The many guests they have welcomed in church or theater for over 150 years are impressed time and again by the quality of one of Holland's best classical male choirs.
The society was founded in 1865. Already since 1905 the choir may carry the predicate "Royal", which emphasizes the quality of the choir and its prominent place within the cultural context of the region of Breda. The aim of the choir is to maintain and, if possible, improve its quality. One of the points of attention is a sufficient number of enthusiastic members. In addition, the weekly intensive rehearsals, since 2008 led by conductor Hans de Wit, are of eminent importance. The high attendance of about 100 members at rehearsals should not go unmentioned and certainly contributes to the high level of the choir. Every year the choir performs about ten concerts at home and abroad. The choir is supported by permanent pianist André Telderman.
Everyone welcome
