Cozy mix of disaster: "Witty, cross and mouthy" (Dagblad van het Noorden)

Hans Dorrestijn's latest program ''t Houdt een keer op'' previously received a standing ovation. "Fully justified of course," according to Noordhollands Dagblad. He comes up with a cozy mix of small and large calamities for a change: deterioration, the loss of friends and colleagues, digital alienation, rising temperatures and human excess. He holds the dog and the pope jointly responsible for overpopulation. And, of course, the pope is also indicted because of the oak processionary caterpillar. Dorrestijn reveals that the insect population has collapsed, but that indoors the fly swatter continues to prove its usefulness. He throws the flies and mosquitoes swatted to death out the window. Then the swallows get something out of it, too.
