Singsation in Spring

Heartwarming and vibrant musical show at The Reading

Vocal group De Longstreetsingers from Waalwijk will present a very varied and versatile musical show in Theater De Leest in Waalwijk under the name Singsation in Spring! Beautiful ballads to dazzling uptempo songs will pass in review. Sometimes overwhelming, sometimes touching and all in polyphony. Come and enjoy this show filled with many gems from the pop music world and that consists of nothing but highlights!

As special guests, the men of the shanty choir Muiterij Kantje Boord from Dussen, led by Olga de Rooij and accompanied by accordionists Jan Vermond and Joost Tholhuijsen, will give some energetic and exuberant performances during the show. They have a very extensive repertoire consisting of songs related to the sea and laced with emotion, sung polyphonically in Dutch, English, Irish or German.

This tremendously beautiful and impressive musical spectacle will take place in the small hall of theater De Leest. Music with a smile and a tear, music for everyone!

The songs of The Longstreetsingers will be accompanied by a dynamic and swinging top band led by Ruud Verkoeijen. The very appropriately chosen choreographies are conceived and rehearsed by Aukje Nieuwenhuijze. The vocal musical direction is in the hands of Karin Tooren.

The ladies of De Longstreetsingers will present this sparkling show together with the men of Mutiny Kantje Boord, in an inspired manner and with all kinds of musical highlights, which makes this show an ideal night out for young and old!
