boarding walk Heusden Remembers

Sorry, this event is no longer available

On the night of November 4-5, 1944, the Brabant fortified town of Heusden was struck by a tragic war crime - The Town Hall Disaster - in which 134 innocent lives were lost. The liberation of the town followed a few hours later. In 2024, we will commemorate 80 years of freedom. In honor of this occasion, Visit De Langstraat is organizing the boarding walk "Heusden Remembers WWII" every Saturday afternoon in October and November at 1:30 p.m.

During this walk of about 75 minutes, an experienced guide takes the group past various historical monuments and memorial sites in the fortified town and complements this with the stories that have marked Heusden and many Heusden residents for life.

The walk starts all Saturdays in October and November at 13:30 from the Tourist Information Point (TIP) in Heusden, Pelsestraat 17. Reservations for this walk are not required but recommended because full = full (20 people).
