Some will remember René from the television program De Wandeling of Omroep Brabant or as former director of the Brabants Historisch Informatiecentrum in Den Bosch, but these days René is retired and gives many lectures for large and small groups.
The most popular presentation is devoted to the Rich Roman Catholic Life in Brabant (1900-1970). Central to this is the enormous and mostly positive influence that the Catholic faith has had on the social and economic development of our province. Now that may sound complicated, but I show more than 150 photos in quick succession in the background, and of course popular themes such as the position of women, the large family, sexual morality and the like are also discussed. I conclude with a quiz, again using photos, film and sound fragments. The whole thing is a light-hearted and instructive feast of recognition.
