A Christmas concert

Had to play the role of a bauble in the annual Christmas play back in elementary school. Found that incredibly stupid. Did everything I could to be an elf, an angel, a camel or at least a sheep. After much prodding, stomping feet and tears, I succeeded. Got four wings, two large and two small, made of tightly stretched net curtain in iron wire. A white outfit made of yellowed pillowcases and cotton artificial snow in my hair. Was allowed to float through the skies with angels, singing "in the Glohohohoria. While reverberating, my childhood head disappeared into the clouds. Wanted that singing about star and stable, myrrh, frankincense, gold, sheep, ox and donkey would never pass.
