Fine organ and flute concert in Sint-Jan de Doper Waalwijk

On Saturday afternoon, November 9, at 3:45 pm, organist Rudi de Munck and flutist Lise de Munck will give a beautiful and varied concert in the Sint-Jan in Waalwijk, with compositions by Guilmant, De Jong and Bach, among others. They previously gave a successful concert in the church. As always, admission is free; after the concert a voluntary contribution is requested. You are most welcome.

Rudi de Munck (1977) is organist at the Reformed congregation of Middelburg-Centrum (Ter Hoogekerk) where he plays the 32-voice organ. Rudi studied organ with, among others, Bram Beekman and Margreeth de Jong in the Oostkerk and Nieuwe Kerk in Middelburg. He participates regularly and with great pleasure in the series of mini concerts in the Koorkerk in Middelburg.

Flautist Lise de Munck
Lise (2003), Rudi's daughter, began taking flute lessons at the age of 6. Her passion grew into a conservatory study. At the Conservatory of Rotterdam (Codarts) she graduated cum laude this year with a commendation of no less than a 9.5. She is currently pursuing her Master's degree in Flute & Piccolo at Codarts Rotterdam as well. Her passion for making music expanded beyond playing concerts to teaching. She also works as a flute teacher at Muziekschool Zeeland. Lise has won several national and international awards, including 1st prize at the Dutch International Flute Competition in 2022. Lise is an esteemed flutist who can regularly be heard as a soloist, orchestral musician or accompanist. She is employed as a flutist with the Ars Musica Orchestra.

Everyone welcome
Everyone who enjoys beautiful and surprising music is welcome to attend this beautiful concert on Saturday, November 9, at 3:45 p.m. in St. John's Church. In this concert works will be performed by De Jong, the 'Choral et Fugue' by Alexander Guilmant (Sonata 5), the Carmen Fantasie by Borne (with flute) and (part of) a Bach sonata. The concert is organized by the Friends of Sint Jan de Doper. As always, admission is free and a voluntary contribution will be asked for after the concert.
