In the romantic city of Paris, in the bell towers of Notre Dame, lives the kind and shy bell-ringer Quasimodo.
His master Frollo is a stern patron who does not allow Quasimodo to leave the towers. One stormy evening, the beautiful Esmeralda flees with a group of travelers to the big city in search of a place of refuge. Thanks to the helpful agent Phoebus, she manages to find her way to Notre Dame. Despite Frollo keeping the doors closed to Esmeralda, she and Quasimodo escape to the Festival of Jesters; the biggest and most colorful festival of the year. Quasimodo becomes embroiled in a duel in which he faces an important choice between his safe home and the unknown adventure.
