Candlelight Shopping Heusden (Christmas market)
On Friday, December 13 and Saturday, December 14, the atmospheric Christmas market 'Candlelight Shopping' will take place in picturesque Heusden. The historic fortified town will be transformed into a Christmas fairy tale, with picturesque streets, monumental buildings and cozy stores, perfect for this magical event.
This year's event will be extra grand. Visitors can enjoy numerous stalls, food trucks and hot chocolate and mulled wine. Stores will remain open until 10 p.m. and the city will be filled with beautiful music, choirs, orchestras, medieval extras, some of whom will appear in beautifully lit dresses such as a Christmas tree and snowman dress. The six-meter tall wishing tree - whose lights are turned on by Joris Linssen on Sunday, Dec. 8 - completes the Christmas atmosphere.
Thanks to the support of several sponsors, admission is free. You will come too, won't you?

Route and Parking:
Due to the expected crowds, we recommend parking in the large parking lots outside the fortress. From the parking lot on the Steenweg (between Heusden Vesting and Oudheusden) there is transportation (for a small fee) to the center between 4:30 and 9:30 p.m., but a walk to the center is of course also recommended.
