Put on your hiking boots!

You can enjoy the most beautiful walks in Loon op Zand. This municipality, which has been declared Walking Municipality of the Year 2021, consists of the church villages Loon op Zand, Kaatsheuvel and De Moer. Villages with a different and a very own identity. (Inter)nationally known hotspots are amusement park Efteling, De Loonse en Drunense Duinen and the kitchen boulevard. But also pearls as Experience Island 't Blauwe Meer, Het Witte Kasteel, nature reserve Huis ter Heide and numerous hospitable recreation and catering entrepreneurs contribute to the fact that everyone is full of praise about the leisure offer.

Sand Garden of Brabant
National Park De Loonse en Drunense Duinen is called the Brabant Sahara. The area is over 7000 soccer fields in size. You will find huge sandy plains, purple moors, forests and the unique Plantloon estate. There is something for everyone to do. From building huts to miles of bike rides. And from horseback riding over bridle paths and sand hills to mountain biking on the two marked trails. Walkers stroll for hours on forest trails and through the ancient shifting sands.

Perfect starting points
Around the dunes you will find cozy catering establishments, such as eatery De Roestelberg, eatery De Rustende Jager and Brasserie Bosch en Duin. Perfect for a well-deserved stopover. A nice starting point to discover nature, to relax or to be active outdoors is Manage Van Loon. Here there is a nature gate, recognizable by the four-meter high key.
