5 places to swim in nature

| Sarah Pilasky

Swimming in natural water brings you closer to nature and gives a wonderful feeling of freedom and relaxation. For residents and visitors in the area Waalwijk, Drunen, Vlijmen, Kaatsheuvel and Loon op Zand, there are beautiful places to take a dip in the fresh water, surrounded by beaches and nature. Whether you are looking for a quiet swimming spot for a relaxing day with the family, or an active day, the De Langstraat region has something for everyone.

On a hot summer day, there is nothing better than cooling off in one of the many natural swimming locations the area has to offer. Imagine lying on a towel on the beach, the sun shining on your skin (don't forget to put lotion on!), you can hear the birds singing and the happy laughter of children. And when the heat becomes too much for you, you take a refreshing dip in the cool water. Now that is enjoyment.

We have gathered five wonderful places in the region where you can swim in natural water. From De Afgraving in Drunen, where you can enjoy green surroundings, to the beautiful Engelermeer lake in Vlijmen, a popular spot for sunbathers and swimmers alike. At Experience Island in Loon op Zand you can book all kinds of activities, but you can also enjoy the peace and quiet on a large beach on the crystal-clear waters of 't Blauwe Meer. Het Hoefsven, located in 't Lido in Waalwijk is a wonderful place to stay with children. In fact, nearby you will also find a deer park and playground. And finally, for a nice day at the beach, Strandbad De Rauwbraken in Berkel-Enschot is a wonderful place to spend during a sunny day.

So, whether you live or stay overnight in Waalwijk, Drunen, Vlijmen, Kaatsheuvel, Loon op Zand or thereabouts, these swimming spots offer everything you need for a fun and relaxing summer day in nature. Where will you be taking a refreshing dip soon?
