The 8 best fall/winter terraces

| Nicole Baak

If you would like to continue to enjoy a cozy patio outside of summer, you certainly can! It does not necessarily have to be summer weather to sit on the terrace. There are several winter terraces in the De Langstraat region. We have listed our favorite terraces for you.

De Rustende Jager
If you are cycling or walking in the vicinity of De Loons en Drunense Duinen, then I would definitely look for some cosiness at De Rustende Jager. The terrace is partially covered, should it be a little chillier they have nice warm fleece blankets ready. If you don't have a bike to explore the area, you can always rent one here!

De Financiën
With the whole family out in nature Loon op Zand? Then I would definitely stop by Pancake Restaurant De Financiën. They have a covered and heated terrace overlooking the large outdoor playground. There is also plenty to do inside for the kids.

Boei35
Visiting the beautiful Fortified City of Heusden? For a good meal, drinks or hot chocolate you can go to Boei35. They have a covered and heated terrace with a beautiful view of the harbor. A place you don't want to skip!

't Wapen van Heusden
If you want to find a little more of the lively hustle and bustle in Fortified Town Heusden, go for a drink at Vismarkt! 't Wapen van Heusden has a covered and heated terrace and they are ready to welcome you.

Uitspanning 't Blauwe Schaap
For lunch, drinks, dinner or coffee and apple pie, the covered terrace of Uitspanning 't Blauwe Schaap is the place to be. To make it as comfortable as possible, the terrace of this rural location is equipped with warm rugs and cushions.

The Kiosk
At the center of Loon op Zand is café brasserie De Kioks, the living room of Loon op Zand. Here you can enjoy the hospitality but also a heated spot on the terrace. Thanks to the canopy, you are sure to be dry when it gets rainy.

De Galgenwiel
Borrel- en eetcafé De Galgenwiel is known as a fine place to enjoy Brabant conviviality. A good place to take a break during a walk or bike ride, but also a wonderful place for drinks or dinner. Here the terrace is covered and they have ensured that guests will not lack anything with warm rugs.

Nature Port of Loon
Directly against the beautiful Loonse and Drunese Dunes lies Natuurpoort van Loon. There is a play area for children, so you can quietly enjoy your drink on the covered terrace. In winter this terrace is transformed into an attractive winter terrace with stoves and rugs.

In short, even in the colder half of the year you have a good reason to go to the terrace. Combine this with a walk or bike ride, a day of shopping, a visit to fortified Heusden or the Schoenenkwartier, and you have a hearty autumn or winter activity!
