St. Bavo Church
The St. Bavo church dates from 1889. Taken in time order, it is the third parish church of Raamsdonk. It is a creation of master builder C.Weber from Roermond. The church is built in neo-Romanesque style in the form of a cross basilica. The trefoil-shaped east section wreathing the choir is particularly beautiful in line. Weber had included in his concept of the west facade two towers on either side of the main entrance that extended to the ridge line. Lack of funds unfortunately prevented the full realization of that vision. Both towers were executed only to wall height.
