Wheat mill De Hoop in Veen
Wheat Mill De Hoop in Veen, built in 1838, stands on the site where a mill also stood previously. This round stone mill milled flour for many years and was also used as a hulling mill to hull barley into groats. The mill is owned by Molenstichting Land van Heusden en Altena and is in use again: grain is ground there. When the sails are turning, you can look inside and learn more about the miller's trade. In the mill you will also find a local produce shop.
