In the past, from about 1593 to 1670, the brewery "Den Bonten Osch" stood here. In this last year, a military warehouse was built, called " 's-Lands Magazijn" or "Kleinder Arsenaal. This originally military building consists of a high part on the Port side and a low part on the Market side. The building serves mainly as a warehouse of artillery equipment, such as mounts (bases of cannons), armory, office and accommodation for troops. After World War II, the upper part of the building was sold to a contractor and the lower part became a fire station. In 1997, the part on the Market Square was given a catering destination.
