Bart did not always think of becoming an entrepreneur. From age 21 to 28, he enjoyed working in shipping. Here he was responsible for the recruitment and selection of crew for sea-going vessels. When he was 26 he started Uit in Zuid and when during the crisis in 2008 the seagoing ships came to a standstill he decided to go full throttle with Uit in Zuid. From then on, they grew bigger and bigger.
