Latest Sandbags
In 1993-1994, the levees were raised and widened. Before then, that area was very susceptible to high water. Hans van Eersel, an employee of Hoogheemraadschap, came up with the idea to give the redundant "last sandbags" a place near the dike. The artwork consists of 18 burlap sandbags filled with concrete.
