Stadsbrouwerij St. Crispijn
This location is part of the "Bike & LEDER route East.
City Brewery Saint Crispijn gets its name from the two brothers Saint Crispijn and Saint Crispinian. They are the patron saints of shoemakers, tanners and orthopedists. They preached the faith and repaired shoes for the poor. Their kindness was not appreciated and after severe torture they were beheaded. In the brewery, besides images of the canonized brothers, you will also find the delicious cobbler's beer. A lager that tastes great all year round but especially on Oct. 25, the day of the patron saints Saint Crispin and Saint Crispinian.

Guided tour & explanation
Always wanted to know how that golden yellow beer is brewed? Then book a tour of the brewery, in which the entire brewing process is explained. You'll learn why not all beer is golden yellow. Visitor Sylvia raved, "During weekend getaway in the area with the four of us, a tour of a brewery seemed like a fun 'activity' and it absolutely was! Very good honest story, nice to see up close. Followed by a nice tasting. And capped off with the purchase of a few st Crispies of course. Highly recommended!"
