Rijckevorsel Street 6
This location is part of the route "Walking in historic Loon op Zand'.
The Van Rijckevorselstraat 6 building is a municipal monument. It was built in 1921 for the Loon family doctors and remained in use as a doctor's office until the early 1970s. The building was built under the influence of the Amsterdam School. Main characteristic of the Amsterdam School is the use of a lot of brick and the use of decorations in the facades in brick of sculpted natural stone. The often plastic facades are usually filled with ladder windows and are crowned with steeply dipped and sometimes decorated with turrets.
