Arch Raadhuisplein Waalwijk
This location is part of the Wet Blue route.
To beautify the passageway on the east side of the former town hall, Kropholler had an arch built to the adjacent property. Since 2017, this arch also forms one of the entrances to the then-created city garden.
Right past the arch, you can glimpse into the former cell area of the Waalwijk municipal police, with three police cells to put local "crooks" under lock and key.
Since 2016, the cell room has been in use as a genealogical chamber of the genealogical society De Erstelinghe. Two cells now serve as an archive room, the third is furnished again as a police cell and can be viewed during the opening hours of the local history society.
