Mark and Daniëlle, for over twenty years proud owners of a very special place in Raamsdonksveer. Together with their friendly team they have built a beautiful hotel and a cozy brasserie. We visited Hotel Heere and Brasserie de Schuur. Read on below!

About twenty years ago, Daniëlle and Mark started restaurant Timmy's Eethuys.
Five years later, they opened the doors of Hotel Heere. At that time, they used the restaurant in the morning for hotel guests to have a nice breakfast. Mark and Daniëlle started with five hotel rooms but soon expanded to eleven rooms. In the years since, the couple has not been idle.
They have since created a beautiful brasserie next to Timmy's Eethuys and built another fifteen hotel rooms in the building next to the brasserie. The four newest rooms above the brasserie were inaugurated in early May.

Mark has a background in the hospitality industry. He did his chef training in Belgium, as did his oldest son who now works as head chef at the brasserie.
Daniëlle comes from a healthcare background but was then also infected with the hospitality virus. In the company, Daniëlle mainly deals with personnel matters and jumps in where necessary. Mark takes care of the administrative side. This makes them a great team.

If you spend the night at Hotel Heere you will experience what a cozy, pleasant and personal hotel it is. There is a homely atmosphere and partly because of that everyone feels at home here.
At Hotel Heere they receive all kinds of guests. Many business guests but in the vacation season also many tourists who come to admire the beautiful surroundings.
From Hotel Heere you can spend a nice day sailing in the Biesbosch, a day out to the Efteling or shopping in Breda. The hotel has also created its own cycling routes that you can use to explore the area. Sometimes buses come from abroad for a city trip. The guests have dinner and breakfast in the brasserie and go out during the day to explore the Netherlands.

Daniëlle finds it very beautiful that together they manage to get so much done. They work with a team of about 25 people who do everything for each other. The friendliness and togetherness among the colleagues is great and as a guest you can really notice that.

Are you visiting the hotel or the brasserie? Then take a good look at the beautiful decor. Daniëlle did this all by herself. Do not forget to ask about the history of the building because there are many elements from the past that they have brought back into the interior.

In short, a wonderful place where old-fashioned coziness and hospitality is number 1 but in a beautiful modern jacket!
