Proverb route - Vismarkt
This lively square is called the Vismarkt. It used to be an important place in the city. It was and is always crowded here. On the very other side you can see the fish bank: the place to trade fish. Here on the square the fish was sold: hence the name Vismarkt.
Being the biggest right in the fish market means that someone tries to prove his right with a big mouth (= by being bold). The fish market was a place of much shouting and bragging. Just imagine a fishmonger at the old fish market shouting loudly so he can sell his fish quickly.
