Delicious Pauwel Trail

(36.5 km)

The Pauwels Trail is a 34-mile walking route through the Pauwels Landscape Park that is under development. The trail traverses a variety of landscapes. It runs (if we start in the northwest) from Het Witte Kasteel in Loon op Zand through woods and farmland to Koningsoord in Berkel-Enschot and then through the Leemkuilen near Udenhout Landpark Assisië in Biezenmortel, nature reserve De Brand and the south side of De Loonse en Drunense Duinen back to Het Witte Kasteel. You can walk the route in one go, or in parts. Through the walking junction system it is easy to extend or shorten the Pauwelspad, or to use the path as an approach to other walking routes.

Het Witte Kasteel
  • You start and end your route at Het Witte Kasteel loon op Zand. From the spacious parking lot you step right into the nature reserve. Staying for several days or enjoying a delicious lunch? That too is possible at Het Witte Kasteel
  • The route is plotted entirely on the basis of the walking junction network. Simply follow the node numbers on the posts, from one numbered node to another
  • The 'official' route runs from the sandy path Zwaluwsestraat between Tilburg and Udenhout from node 72 directly to node 70. That path is prohibited for dogs. For hikers with dogs there is a small detour: 72-73-67-70.
  • You can also download the gpx file and walk the route using your smartphone or navigation system
  • Download the pdf file for a map with information about the route
  • The map is also available for free at our Tourist Information Points (TIPs), among others.
