Walking tour Loon op Zand and ice rink

The starting point of this hiking trail is Café De Kiosk in Loon op Zand. From there you walk towards De Loonse en Drunense Duinen. This walk is a pleasant alternation of woods and (shifting) dunes.

In this route you walk to the Ice Rink, a (hand-)dug-out fen that regularly freezes over in winter and is used as a skating rink. Skating enthusiasts can skate laps of no less than four hundred meters around an island here to their heart's content. A beautiful scene! Kaatsheuvelse IJsbaan is not only a recreational asset for De Langstraat region. Various animals come there from De Loonse en Drunense Duinen to cool down and quench their thirst.
