Langgevelboerderij
This location is part of the "Walking in Historic Loon op Zand' route.
This long-gabled farmhouse was built in 1911 to a design by Udenhout architect Adrianus Brekelmans. At the time, the steam streetcar of the Tilburg-Besoijen line passed the property daily. In the evening of December 27, 1934, a serious accident occurred: the streetcar derailed and damaged the facade at the corner Hoge Steenweg-Bergstraat. There was one fatality, 88-year-old Hendrik van den Hoven, and five wounded. It was not until August 1938 that the house was repaired.
