Stamhuis
This location is part of the "Walking in Historic Loon op Zand' route.
The so-called Stamhuis on Bergstraat 2 was built shortly after 1900 to replace the burned down home of Goyke and Gonda van Lier-Moonen and their family. Behind and next to the log house was the original factory building of the Van Lier shoe factory established in the 1st half of the nineteenth century, which was closed in 2006 and demolished in 2015. In the 19th and 20th centuries, the leather and shoe industry was the main source of income in the municipality Loon op Zand.
