The Van Beers family business, founded just after World War II, specialized in the 1970s in making shoes and boots for entertainment. The company grew to become the court supplier of "themed footwear" such as clown shoes, dancing shoes and majorette boots. Van Beers is the regular supplier for all footwear at Efteling, including the Red Shoe.
