Two grave houses from the 17th century are now one building (32-34). In the late Middle Ages, these houses are set back. They are owned by the count of Holland in 1330. Before 1338, the count put the independent right house (34) at the disposal of the Lombards, or bankers, with whom the count did business. In the left house (32), Duke Albrecht established his mint workshop in 1390-1393. In 1623 and 1632, Karel van Beveren, steward of the Prince of Orange, bought both houses and merged them into the present building. The count's former homestead (36) and a fourth count's house (38) are separated from it by the Heilige Geeststeeg.
