Windmill De Twee Gebroeders in Wijk en Aalburg
Windmill De Twee Gebroeders in Wijk en Aalburg was built in 1872 on the site of an earlier mill. This round stone rack grist mill ground flour for a long time and was once an example of a modern windmill. The mill could be powered by either wind power or a diesel engine. During World War II, the mill was badly damaged, but was later restored. In 1968 the mill came into the possession of the Mill Foundation Land van Heusden en Altena. Today the mill is a National Monument that has been restored several times.
