This location is part of the "Flora & Fauna in Pauwels" cycling route.
This is the Bernehoeve. One of the many farms within the Pauwels estate. Farmyards provide good habitat for a variety of bird species. For example, owls and barn swallows often live in barns and the house sparrow also finds plenty of shelter and food around farms. The barn owl and the little owl are typical farmyard birds and find their food in the messy corners and orchards. Useful for the farmer because they help catch the mice! In the first picture you can see the Barn Owl, in the second picture a Little Owl and in the third picture the House Sparrow.
