Historic site
This location is part of the "Walking in Historic Loon op Zand' route.
You are standing in front of the house Kasteellaan 13, Looking ahead you can see a historic country house "The Castle Meadow".
This was renovated several years ago and is now an event site.
On the southern part of the meadow, since 1863, stands a shooting tree that was jointly owned by the three Loon guilds Sint-Ambrosius, founded in 1784, Sint-Hubertus (1842) and the no longer existing guild Sint-Crispijn (1819). The handbow-shooting guild St. Ambrose holds its king's shooting here every four years. The king's shooting of the guild St.-Hubertus is done with the rifle and takes place on its own accommodation.
