Water tower Raamsdonksveer
The characteristic 1925 water tower was designed by architect Hendric Sangster. He is the most important designer of water towers in the Netherlands, building a number of water towers spread throughout the Netherlands from 1920 to 1935. His main works from 1924-1927 are designed in art deco style. The tower has a height of 43.85 meters and has one water tank of 300 m3. This is not Sangster's only work in Raamsdonksveer. At the Heereplein, Sangster remodeled the facade of the old town hall in 1929. In 1969, the water tower was restored. During the restoration, the tower was given a coating of cement.
