Langstraat farms Raamsdonk
The farms on numbers 3-5 and 9, dating from the 18th and 19th centuries, are of the Langstraat type. Characteristic is the elongated construction and the thatched wolf roof with the four sloping planes. The back of these farms faces the street. At the front was originally a footpath. The villa at No. 2 was built in 1887 by the owner of the brewery "De Wereld," also located on this street at the time. It is a fine example of a luxurious manufacturer's villa belonging to a local brewery. The house was built in the so-called eclectic style. Typically, parts borrowed from earlier architectural styles were used.
