Landgoed Steenenburg
The wide driveway, Steenenburg Castle, centuries-old trees and the French soldiers in the pond are reminders of the long history of this property, located on the border of Nieuwkuijk and Drunen. The former castle grounds of d'Oultremont are known, among other things, for the amusement park "The Land of Once. The area is freely accessible to hikers on roads and paths from sunrise to sunset, 365 days a year. Castle Steenenburg is not accessible. The large gates remain closed. Access via the small gates. Parking is available in the parking lot on the Vimmerik (Nieuwkuijk industrial area). Follow the 1000-step path to enter the hiking area. There is also an entrance for hikers at Kasteellaan. No parking is allowed there. Dogs are welcome, provided dog poop is cleaned up. Also when picnicking please keep the area clean.
