De Wijkse Poort

A guardhouse in the enchantingly beautiful Brabant fortified town of Heusden. Built in the late 16th century as one of four city gates, referring to the village of Wijk bij Aalburg. De Wijkse Poort was restored in 1984 and now forms a prominent point on the city wall overlooking the marina. Take a nice walk through the historic center, visit the cozy stores at Botermarkt, have a nice meal at Vismarkt and end your day at the Wijkse Poort with a good glass of wine.

Two authentic cannons at the entrance protect you like an Earl or Duchess, leaving you no doubt that you will sleep like a rose.....
